Specialties

His clinical focus spans the full spectrum of urologic care: robotic surgery, prostate cancer treatment, men’s health, overactive bladder management, and minimally invasive procedures. He has been performing robotic surgery since 2007 and have completed thousands of robotic cases using the da Vinci platform.

Dr. Broughton is particularly interested in how emerging technologies — AI scribes, clinical decision support, workflow automation — can improve both surgical outcomes and the overall patient experience. Several of his research publications focus on surgical outcomes and clinical innovation.

Gregory Broughton
, M.D.

About Dr. Broughton

He completed his medical education at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2007, followed by residency training in urology at Vanderbilt. Since then, he’s built a comprehensive urology practice in Cincinnati, treating everything from routine conditions to complex surgical cases.

Before anything else, Dr. Broughton says he’s a husband and father. His  personal mission is simple: work more efficiently so I can be more present at home.

That drive shapes how he practices medicine. He believes the time he saves through better systems, smarter tools, and streamlined workflows isn’t just professional efficiency — it’s time he  gets back with his wife and kids.

When we’re not in clinic mode, his family loves adventure travel and trying new experiences together. Whether it’s ziplining through the rainforest or exploring a new city, they believe in making memories that matter.

Certifications and Memberships

Dr. Broughton is certified by the American Board of Urology.

Robotic Surgery Experience

He has been performing robotic surgery since 2007 and have completed thousands of robotic cases. In urology, robotic-assisted surgery can support minimally invasive approaches with enhanced visualization, precision, and control for appropriate patients.

He uses robotic techniques across a wide spectrum of urologic procedures, including prostate and kidney surgery, with treatment plans tailored to each patient’s condition and goals.

Common Robotic Urology Procedures

  • Robotic radical prostatectomy
  • Robotic partial nephrectomy
  • Robotic pyeloplasty
  • Robotic nephroureterectomy
  • Robotic cystectomy (selected patients)
  • Robotic sacrocolpopexy (selected patients)
